water spots on my black coupe
water spots on my black coupe
hey guys,
I use to park my car outside a lot and they sprinklers would get all over my car and by the time i get to my G, the water spots already would dry up. Now I have these very visible water spots that won't go away. Even after a car wash, they are still noticalbe. should i wash my car ?> what should i do?

Wash with Dawn, dry, clay bar, wash, dry, polish (Zaino and Crystal Guard are forum favorites. Try not to wash in swirls.

No man this is what you do. When water sets into the paint it eats a layer of your clearcoat. Honestly the best thing to do is take it to a profesional detailer and tell him this. You want to take out all the water spots. You for now dont want the shine just get it out. After you get the spots out, make it shine. Sorry if it sounds confusing. Let me know and ill help you out.

but if your car is waxed, wouldnt the wax protect it from water spots? lets say you recently washed and waxed your car, and 2 weeks later you washed it normally, the water spots are on top of the wax, so it would come off easy, right?
