Paint Pens and 06 LP? (and gen. paint pen reccomendations?)

Got 2 tiny chips on my mirror and one chip/tear on my hood. Extremely small so wanted to use a paint pen to fix it up. However, most pens i see are brilliant silver and not liquid platinum (the 06 ver of BS). Don't know how well a BS would match up to the LP. Any experience? Or heck, am i barking up the wrong tree thinking paint pens on this? Damage is smaller than the head of a pencil.

And just for knowledge's sake. I got these chips this morning when some college age looking girl was driving her SUV and talking on the cell phone. She drifted to the center lane and kicked up some huge cardboard box that was flattened out there. It came up and whacked my passengers side. Turned the mirror in and must have had some staples in it to chip the paint. I went 0 to pissed instantly as this is the second time this week something like this happened! First was an SUV and some roofing material on the lower passenger's side bumper. Still got to buff out the scratches there and hope that nothing went down to the plastic Maybe i need to start following people close to prevent this stuff from having the time to kick up, gain air and come down on me!

And an additional question. Now that some cooler weather is setting in, i was planning on stripping off the wax and claybarring the car. Full detail from scratch.

Now that i have some areas to take car of with the paint pen, what is the reccommend procedure? strip wax, claybar, wash, paint pen, wait 24 hrs?, wash again and keep going? Will leaving the unprotected paint for 24 hours kill me here?

Unfortunately, the car is an outside car, no garage, and a daily driver so the max drying time i could leave it sitting is 24 hours over a weekend.
