Zaino questions

Did you guys buy the whole Zaino package or individual parts? Can't decide if the other parts in the package are necessary. Also should i only use the Z5 for swirl marks and scratches and not for normal polishing?

Re: Zaino questions

"Polish" normally means something with mild abrasives. While Zaino calls it's product a "show car polish", it contains no abrasives.

Z5 may mask some minor swirl mark (after many layers), but don't expect miracles on hiding swirls with Z5. If you have more major swirls you will need to use something else to polish/prepare the paint first. Z2 doesn't claim to hide any swirl marks at all, but Zaino intends Z2 to be the final layer for the best shine. Zaino's theory is start with Z5, and finish with Z2.

However, if you want to minimize your initial purchase, you can use Z5 only (without finishing with Z2). Z5 only may work better on darker colours.

See the FAQ on the Zaino site. Your minimum initial purchase is Z1 or ZFX and Z2 and/or Z5. However, if you're going to try Zaino, I would suggest you also get Z6 and Z7 (wash). They really do enhance the look and help maintain the finish. So my suggestion is your initial kit should be Z1 or ZFX, Z2 and/or Z5, Z6 and Z7.

Put it on really thin. This weekend, I just got six coats (3 coats on two cars) from one ounce of Z5 with ZFX.

Re: Zaino questions

Hey,

Just get the wash, detail spray, Z2, ZFX, and if you want to do your interior with Zaino then get the leather cleaner and conditioner. Also if you don't have a clay bar then of course grab one of thiers if u can. U should not need Z5 on such a new car.

Make sure you follow thier directions, and don't forget to grab a bottle of dawn

Re: Zaino questions

I bought the kit and have used everything in it. I used the Z5 only for the first month I think before I put on some Z2. They both protect so you'd be fine.

Re: Zaino questions

A couple of days ago I ordered the ZFX, Z2, and the Z6 to try. I forgot to order the Z7 when I placed the order. What other car wash products would you recommend until I place my next order.
Thanks.
