Question What should I do?

I just purchased a OB 06 G35 Sedan from my local Infiniti and after seeing my car in the sun I almost started crying in anger on how many swirls it had on it. It has been bothering me that a brand new car can have swirls all over it, let along all the scratches it came with. I also noticed wax all over the molding and around all the lights!

The question is should I have them try to correct the problem or find a local detail shop to correct the problem? I need some feedback on what you would do in a situation like this.

Thanks,

Al

Try to find the best detailing guy around, then see if the dealer will pay for or share the cost. Most dealers don't have a good enough guy on the buffer. Especially for black.

Pick up a PC and some supplies and learn to do it yourself. Being that the car is black, you are going to continue to get swirls, and detailers get expensive if you have to keep going back.

My buddy has an OB and had a similar problem, he just detailed it with zaino and sg. https://g35driver.com/forums/care-detailing/122644-detail-session-clay-z-pc-ksg-s100-lots-pics.html

I agree, but before using the Zaino, go through the entire process from the beginning. Dawn, claybar, Z5/ZFX, Z8.

I agree with all of you and I will have to go out and get a PC sometime soon. Would most of you recommend using Zaino for the best shine and protection?

So is Dawn, claybar, Z5/ZFX and Z8 be the order of getting Zaino applied? How many times coats of Zaino would I need and which one can be re-applied?

Thank you all for the feedback.

Al

Here's a thread from a guy with awesome results:
Another thread on swirls and Zaino

I've never used the ZPC, but I would just add a step after the claybar. So your procedure would be:
1) Dawn
2) claybar
3) Z7 (shampoo)
4) ZPC
5) Z5 + ZFX
6) Z6 or Z8 (for deeper gloss, but more expensive)

repeat steps #5 & #6 until your arm falls off...well, maybe just before it does

oh yeah, I wouldn't recommend a PC with Zaino. If you're going to use a PC, use another brand such as Klasse, Manzerna, Poorboys, etc. I personally don't use a PC, so you might want to do a search on this site or check out autopia.org.
