5-Star Protection

5-Star Protection
Well, I finally applied my 5-Star to the ole G. I washed and clay-barred the car before I applied the 5-Star. 5-Star has some type of chemical composition that works sort of like a teflon coating. It is a 2 step process. You first wash the car with a bottle of stuff and then wax it with the other. The car looks really nice and clean with a deeo shine. Supposedly now that I have applied the 5-Star, I won't need to wax again from 5years. We'll see about that. The dirt and grime from driving is also just supposed to come off with a spray off water and a wash mit. So, the car really won't have to be washed either. Again we'll see how it works out. I'll keep you all posted on how it goes.
If you would like some more info, I can post up some info for you.

Re: 5-Star Protection
Finally got around to it huh. I remember you mentioning that you were gonna do that at the NICO meet. Some Pics would be nice. I wanna see how it looks cause it would be kinda nice to do before the snow starts fallin here in Chicago. Oh and was it easy to apply? Thanks, Dave

Re: 5-Star Protection
I'll get a few pics posted up here sometime in the next couple of days.
Davey, it wasn't really hard to put on, just time consuming. To really get the best out of it, you have to wash and then clay bar the car. That takes about an hour and half to 2 hours. Then the first step is basically rewashing your car with the polarizing solution. That is pretty quick. You let your car dry with the soap/polarizing solution on it, the car gets a film over it and then you have to rinse the car off real well after everything is dry. Then of course dry the car real well. Next is to apply the second step which is a polarized wax. Basically wax like you would with any other wax.
It looks nice now and so far all the dirt and road tar was been easily wiped off with a Cali-duster and microfiber towel. Seems to be worth it, if it lasts as long as they say it will.

Re: 5-Star Protection
Yeah, next monday. I've got pictures taken, but my camera is at home, so i'll post them up tomorrow if I remember. It basically looks like the car was washed and waxed with Zymol or something, no difference really, but I'll get the pics none-the-less.
