Crystal Guard? Anyone use or have opinions?
Im pretty **** about keeping my car clean and shiny... I was reading about this product called Crystal Guard... its a liquid based product used as an alternative to waxing and takes only 30 mins to apply after a wash.... Does anyone know if this product stands up to its claims and is worthy enough to be put on our Gs.... or should i stick to Zaino or other traditional waxes....
heres the address to read more about it...

Re: Crystal Guard? Anyone use or have opinions?
I used CG once, then switched to Klasse for a number of reasons. CG wasn't easy for me to apply, since I don't have a house or my own hose. So I went to a do it yourself carwash, and ended up missing a bunch of hazy spots due to bad lighting. If I had a driveway, and a hose, I could have avoided this problem, or at least taken care of it when I noticed it.
Be forwarned though, CG pro or quick will only last a month or so. This isn't reasurring for a snowy winter when hand carwashes become fewer and farther between.
Also, it does nothing for concealing/filling swirl marks, and although the shine is nice and glossy, it's not deep and wet. But hey, to each his/her own. CG is a good product, just not my favorite.

Re: Crystal Guard? Anyone use or have opinions?
I am fairly happy with the results of CG on my white coupe. it was slippery smooth after the first coat. water seems to just glide right off and the car stays clean.
but what I am having problems with, is the CG wash. See, when the car is not very dirty, CG wash works great, and everything is nice and peachy. but what to do after a good solid week of rainy and generally schmitty weather?
say it rained all last week. the lower door panels and fenders are covered with sprayed/splashed on dirt, accumulated over the week. for this, a spritz of CG wash and a microfibre cloth is not gonna cut it.
The problem is that CG wash doesn't foam up enough for me to use a proper wash mitt.
what do you guys say?
