quick detailer on new paint

My 2004 6 sp had to get a new rear bump (some one hit me....) and after receiving it back repainted, they told me not to wax it for 3 months or so. I was wondering about is okay to use a quick detailer or one of the spray waxes on it? I was one of the DP quick detailer/waxes on my car between waxes and it has been working great. was just wanted to continue doing it and not neglect my newly painted rear bumper. thanks in advance for any thoughts.

imho you are okay. just don't use any paste or cream type
waxes that might have abrasives in them. the paint is very
soft so you run the possibility to cloud the clear.

i would be more worried about the softness of the MF towel
you use for drying and doing QD. i use the platinum MF towels
for QD and monster fluffy for buffing. www.detailersparadise.com

Assuming you have had the clear coat reapplied you should be able to clay, polish and use quick detailers. A general rule is that you should be careful using any towel, I prefer microfiber towels. Avoid any product that leaves something behind on the paint (glazes, sealants, waxes...primarily). However some polishes and quick detailers leave protection behind. These products could potentially seal the clear coat, thus preventing the paint from curing. I would also wait the full 90 days as recommended just to be safe.

It depends on the quick detailer. You don't want to use anything with silicone in it, which pretty much eliminates a very large portion of qd's. You're best bet is to leave it alone aside from washing with a ph balances, non-wax, soap.
