After doing some research in the forums, I have attempted to touch up my IP coupe (paint chips on the front bumper) and wetsand it so it looks like new again. Unfortunately, I have not been able to get the paint to match perfectly like stock. I bought the Nissan OEM QX1 touch up paint (two bottles - 1 basecoat and 1 top coat) but I have been unsuccessful.

*Sigh* I was hoping to get the chips fixed myself before I got my clear bra installed!

After my research, I found that a few members got good results from paintscratch.com. It would be nice if they can share their experience.

Ivory Pearl is really a hard color to match, either paint chips or painting a fender etc.

It is in theory a three part system.....your base coat (white) your pearl color, and then the clear coat.....

The touch up paint from Infiniti I have found to be too white....it always leaves the chip area slightly off color.....

I tried many combinations of using less base color and more pearl/clear, but I was only successful once or twice, and it was a real small chip.

I actually found the touch up paint from my I35 to be a closer match than the QX1.....but it seems now only the QX color code is available.....

white pearl is probably the hardest color to match.

usually you can use a polish (ScratchX, would work, but might need a
coarser one)and it will come off.

Yes ,..the paint in the "pen" form from infiniti comes with 2 ends , one is white base coat and other is clear mixes with pearl !

Wall Street Journal had an article on touch up kit results recently and the Dr Colorchip system was their highest rated product tested. I've heard good things about it on Driver and other forums. http://www.drcolorchip.com/

IP is a bitch to match no matter what.

The color White is the hardest color to match. You'll never get it perfect. Goodluck.
