Car cleaning
Alright guys I need some help. And I have searched and nothing to my liking came up. So please give me some info or direct me to another thread that will help out! I know this is the wrong place to post this but I know I would get more answers from my sedan guys/gals.
Ok, so when I purchased the car I got it Simonized. And obivously its where they spray some sort of chemical over the paint to keep it looking new for years to come.
Recently I washed the car polished, power waxed it, then finished it with a carnauba wax, all of them being a Mothers product. However the car still has like swirl like scratches all over the car. The polish said it would remove swirls and scratch, it failed.
Now I'm wondering if it has to do with the Simoniz and what products or what I should be doing diffrent in order to get imaculate(sp) shine.
Note: the polish and what not were applied using a random orbital buffer.

Kevin (picus112) would be the one to talk to, he is the detailing god.
A great website to look at would be www.autopia.org as well, it will have everything you need to know.

What kind of polish did you use? It would have to be an abrasive polish in order for it to remove any swirl marks. A very thin layer of your clearcoast will need to be removed, and that's where your abrasive polish and a Porter Cable come in. I use Poorboys SR2.5 and SR2 with my Porter Cable (which was a recommendation from Kevin). Good luck.
EDIT: I see Kevin already responded!

im running Griot's Polish1 to 3 and on new cars that's about as aggressive
you need to go unless it's more like a scratch than a swirl.
you probably didn't work the swirl remover into the paint long enough.
even on a moderately swirled paint, with the orbital, it usually takes me
about 3min to do a 15x15" area. then redo it over with a finer polish
another 3min or so....so by hand, it would take me more like 15+ min
in the same area using moderate pressure.
if by hand, try some ScratchX give a good 4-5 apps with some elbow grease
and see how much swirl you can remove. you might want to get that
initial coating you got off with some Griot's PaintPrep.
