Wheel Repair for 19" OEM's?

While having my wheels rebalanced, the installer removed the old stick on weights on the inside of my polished 19" OEM wheels. It's in the area that's colored sort of a gun metal grey.

Has anyone encountered this problem, and if so, what did you do to repair them?

I'm thinking of rubbing shoe polish over the scratched areas, and removing the excess.

Any suggestions?

that's behind the spokes? if so, just leave it alone. you can remove
the adhesive foam left-over, but your brake dust will accumulate over the
scratch in no time covering up minor imperfections.

It's actually not BEHIND the spokes, kinda BETWEEN them...so you can see them pretty easily!

Also, the goober didn't use anything like goo gone to remove the adhesive...just kinda picked at 'em...like with a screwdriver! Left some while gouge lines in the dark finish on the inner part of the wheel!

yah, most shops will use a razor blade to remove those.

careless of them to scratch your wheel where it's visible though...
