you can either wash the car and use the claybar with it, example, wash the hood area, then with the claybar put it in the bucket with the soap and go over it . thats the way i was taught when i detailed at nissan.
or buy that detailer spray and spray the are then claybar it and wipe. but i like the first 1 cuz it gets all the dirt and what not off easier
also keep the claybar wet if you are using it while washing, never do it dry hah it wont help

i tried it before and it's a firm clay. easy to use for most kinda of a pita
to use in cooler temps.
i say yay if that's the only choice you got.
i personally use prima clay and griots clay. griots clay is like mud... real
soft. prima clay is about right, but kinda tears apart easily feels dry although
it's not.
