lmao. most of the time i just use my hollister clothing left in my trunk. or what ever cotton i can find.. it works GREAT for me.. all u need is a good wax afterward =)

 

Definitely microfiber or you risk creating more swirls or micro-scratches... I should actually say, to help prevent new swirls and micro-scratches

 

I say Absorber....it just soaks up so much more water compared to the chamois!

 

i used a leaf blower, too.

works really really well. no water in the rivets of my wheels or on the inside of them. no water in the cracks(i.e. between the bumper/trunk).

i love it!

Absorber. I remember being told by a detailer that a natural chamois can strip the polish from the paint much faster than a synthetic! It has something to do with the natural oils or something else in natural chamois.

Also, never bunch or fold up the chamois/absorber and rub the paint to dry. He said to just hold 2 corners, and lightly drape and pull it over the surface of your car to absorb the beads of water (like putting on a table cloth).

Not necessarily. As I said, I was told that a chamois can strip the protective finish, especially the new synthetic polishes and sealants from the finish. I like the Absorber because it isn't as stiff when dry, and you can just put it away damp in the tube. I used to use my chamois just for the windows, but I find that the Absorber dries them streak-free.

My expensive chamois hangs unused (and stiff) in the same palce it's been for a couple of years.

I use a Cali-blade, Absorber, and leaf blower every time I wash the car.

 

for drying, you want to use either the thick MF drying towels (griots) or waffle weave MF towels.
