Cleaning Tint
Cleaning Tint
I just got my windows tinted yesterday on my 2007 sedan, and I have a question about maintenance.
What do I clean the windows with, now that they are tinted? I wouldn't think that I could use paper towels. Am I correct in this? I don't want to scratch the tint.
Thanks for the help.

I use QD and an MF to maintain my tinted windows.
For clients with abnormally dirty windows, I will use Stoner's IG and an MF.
The thing I love about tint...it's so easy to keep clean.

The tint is on the inside of the windows, so power washers make no difference.
Thanks for the tip on the Microfiber towel. Do you have any problems with streaking with the Microfiber?
What is QD???

I use Stoner's Invisible Glass (Aerosol Can, Not Liquid Spray) and it's simply a great product. As for the application I use clean microfiber towels only. I've never had an issue using that product on my tinted windows.
Here is a car detailing write up I did: http://forums.audiworld.com/a4gen2/msgs/857353.phtml

Dork... I believe they are speaking about the tinted surface, which is INSIDE the car....

Don't ask me why, it just seems to be the regularly accepted practice...
If you're going to be throwing out your MF after one use, let me know what day is trash-day in your neighborhood
