first u do,
1. dawn wash to remove current wax
2. clay bar
3. wash again
4. start the PC process
5. waxing
6. selant
Is this the correct process?

you don't need to wax and then sealant...choose one

Get the lake county orange pad that is going to be pretty good for swirls. Youn also might want to look into pinnacle swirl remover 2 and fine swirl remover 1 to remove the swirls. great stuff!

You can use both, but the wax goes on top of the sealant, if you start with a carnuaba base, it cuts down the durability of the sealant quite a bit

-Yellow Pad,
-Green Pad
-black pad
-Wolfgang concours-series lambswool Knittted Polishing Pad #77-216
-8 microfiber bonnets

I have no clue what pad does what lol please help me out !!!

the reason i bought this pc is because inifniti repainted my rear bumper because they damged it when i got the car.
my car is obsidian black and the repainted panel looks horrible, its filled with swirl marks, holograms and buff marks.
i dont trust anyone with my car and i really want to learn to use my pc but have no clue where to start.

if anyone can please explain to me what pad does what id really appreciate it, also if i need new ones let me know what kind

i also need a good polish system to rid the swirl, buff and hologram marks, ...any suggestions?

i have some Optimum polish that i got a while ago, is this a good polish to use, can i damge my paint?

thanks for your help guys!!!
yellow pad - heavy duty compounds
green pad - compounds and polishes
black pad - machine glaze

You really have no need for these pads, because your car shouldn't be in such a bad condition for these types of pads.

See if you can get:
white pad - polishes
blue pad - final step waxes, sealants

I own only orange, white, and blue pads because these are all the ones that I ever need...My paint has never been bad enough for orange, white for my polishes, and then blue for all my sealants / waxes.

There are a couple of good polish systems that I have used, so it really depends on your budget and time.

Try Chemical Guys Compound System ( I've only had to use #1 and #2, because my paint has never gotten so bad that I've needed #3 )

I have also have success with the Meguirar's twins

I think someone already mentioned this, but check out autopia.org. Read the posts on the forums and ask them what they suggest.

Oh BTW, I have OB G35 also and you really can never get 100% perfection, you just have to settle for 90 - 95%

Like ksig113 said, you can't really go wrong with any of the polishes, they will all do a decent job. Some dust more than others, which some people find annoying, especially if you plan on polishing in the sun. I use the optimum line because it has a really long work time, and never dusts even in the sun.

hey ebuy,

last time, we used a medium cut polish to no avail. I would suggest stepping up to a compound and a cutting pad (prob your yellow or orange pad...usually its the pad that feels harder)

the plastic...i have learned, on the bumpers is tough too polish. last year, i had to use 3000 grit pads to remove the swirls on my bumpers (i dun suggest that and I prob wont do that again!!!)

quite honestly...the bumpers are very difficult to perfect. start with your fenders which are easier to polish
