Poorboys Wheel Sealant Vs Wheel Wax
well i can comment on wheel wax
its 12 dollar at advance auto parts
its like regular wax but for wheels
its very effect in giving u that bling bling look for an aluminum rims
It doesn't last as long as they claim.
I find it to start to fade and acummulate dust every 3+ days after application.
If u wash and clean the wheel, the wax makes it extremely shiny. kinda like a lasting effect once u wash ur wheels if u previously had a coat of it on already.

Wheel waxes are more marketing than anything. Just use any good paint SEALANT that you would normally use on your paint and you'll get the same level of protection. Just make sure its a synthetic sealant that doesn't contain carnuaba wax

I have used Wheelwax on my wheels and I was very impressed with its ability to stay clean for longer periods. It does seem to repel brake dust somewhat and the brake dust that does find its way on the rims can be hosed off easily. I only apply it a few times a year, and it seems to last, but I only use my car wash soap (Zaino) to wash them, no harsh soaps.
I did not find it shines up the wheel more, it just protects it.

i read from another post...something to add:
wheel wax has a cleaning agent in it also while it protects.
poorboys is strictly a sealant/protectant.
...from another members view: if you strictly want a protectant-poorboys does a better job.
if you'd also like to get the rims cleaner in the process wheel wax is your choice.

I use Poorboys Wheel Sealant on every car I clean. I used to use AIO/SG and tried Z2 also, but neither lasts quite as long in my experience. It is also not cost effective for me to use Z2 on wheels. It takes me about 10 min to do a car thoroughly with pb's ws, but it saves me 2-3x as much time next time I clean the car, so that's why I use it. If you don't want to buy another product a good paint sealant will achieve similar results, they just may not last quite as long on the wheels.
