$1000 for 4 tires for a G35 Coupe @ 33k is about the same percentage as the $34k to the 1.6M Bugatti

3% of the cost of the car for the G
2% of the cost of the car for the Bugatti

Do you think they really worth that?
Does it really cost that much more to wrap a few more layers of wire on it?

I sure some people will think this is rediculous but I don't care what car it is and how much it cost, I would put some aftermarket wheels on it. I hate stock wheels. The Veyron is a super sweet car but it needs wheels befitting it's persona. The wheels on it look more in line with a big sedan...not a superfast exotic. I haven't seen one pic of one with nice wheels on it. Maybe one day someone will take the plunge.

They are because they have to custom make them for that car. They don't mass produce that size like they do G35 sizes. Cost for one-off or custom pieces is GREATLY increased.

That car weights over 8k, and top speed over 200mph. There is not very many rims available that can handle such car. And if there is they probably look just as horrible as the stock ones.

Yep that would be the only reason for the ridiculous price.
Makes you think twice before you spin your tires.

Look who made their way to Autopia! LOL I saw that yesterday and it boggled my mind how someone could take such horrible care of a 1.6MM work of art! Easy come easy go I guess!

I hate it when people post inaccurate facts. The Veyron weighs a little over 4100 lbs with a top speed of 253 mph. Surely, there are several aftermarket wheels that can enhance the looks and provide the stability and safety for high speed driving.
Even if it weighed a rediculous 8000 lbs, I have to believe an $8000 set of wheels like HRE could handle the weight.
