Exclamation REALLY need some help for my rims!!!!!!!

Anyone have any idea on how to get rid of this stuff. I think it is break dust build-up but i am not sure. They are polished lips and i have searched through a bunch of threads but couldn't find anything like this. The fronts are way worse than the rears too. PLEASE HELP!!!

I use an orange oil based cleaner made by STP you can get it any Napa store.
It works wonders on the stock painted wheels. I would do a test patch just to be safe though.

I agree trm3, the P21s wheel products are a great option to restore those wheels. If these where my wheels this is what I'd do.

I'd prep the wheels with the P21s Wheel Gel. Let it sit on your wheels for about 3 - 5 minutes and rinse off. This may not do much on stubborn break dust, but it will help prep the surface to get the most out of your polish. I'd then follow up with the P21s Finish Restorer polish. This will require a little bit of elbow grease with some pressure. I'd start as light as possible with the pressure and move up little by little after assessing each pass. Some of the areas may need more than 1 application of polish, but a little goes a long way with the polish.

After you finishing polishing your wheels to your liking, I'd recommend protecting them with Poorboy's Wheel Sealant. This product will help prevent this from happening in the future. It will give you a barrier of protection that makes your regular maintenance much easier. For future cleanings all you should need is a wash mitt with some automotive shampoo. Simple as that.

Let us know what route you end up going and how you make out with everything.

George
