Sorry for the dumb question, but for applying Zaino, do you use the cotton towels or microfiber? I just got my Zaino starter kit, and now I need to order some polishing towels.

Thanks...

Microfiber, I've never liked the cotton. The paint like microfiber too haha.

Where did you purchase the microfiber towels? There are some many choices not sure what's the best. Although Zaino recommends using 100% cotton towels.

MF towels are all I use. You can pick up some MF towels from George here. I ordered some from him myself last week.

If you use micro fiber, just use the best. The manufacturing of micro fiber towels can be inconsistent.

I just ordered an assortment of Cobra towels from autogeek.com. I hope they are good.

Thanks for the feedback.

Zaino recommends only 100% pure cotton towels, and big ones. However, I've used MF towels and don't see a difference. As long as you have a dry, clean surface to apply Zaino on, you should have no problems.

I use cotton applicators to put it on and the yellow MF towels from costco to remove.

Cotton was more important when the nuba was harder to remove than it is now. Waxes and sealants are mostly easy on, easy off now.

I just picked up a 20-pack of those yellow microfiber towels, they work like a hot damn.

I use the Zaino pads to put on the polish, then a polisher with a cotton bonnet to remove it once dry.

You guys really use those yellow MF's from costco on your exterior? I bought a pack and threw them in the wash before use, and they lost half of their fluffiness. The edging is also poor and will mar paint. I used them only for interior/jamb duty.

They are actually smartening up and coming out with their own line of microfiber towels. I've yet to find a 100% cotton towel that is superior to a high quality microfiber towel for automotive detailing needs.
