Scratch repair?
Scratch repair?
I've about had it with huge rocks flying out of trucks and nailing my car
Got a little blip on the brow of the car back in december (which unfortunately is now rusted
) and now some deep down to the metal scratches on my hood this AM.
Apparently the wet sanding tutorial was dismissed, but i wanted to ask opinions on what to do here. Included pics, close ups and a farther away one to give you perspective on the size of the nicks.
For the rusted spot, was planning on some bug & tar remover to get anything off of it, and some paint polisher to get the rust out. I have a paint pen so i would clean the hole out, and dip thin coats out of the pen to let it fill the divot? Would the same method work on the scratch on the hood?
Any advice is appreciated. I'm just wary of having the hood or top repainted for fear of it not matching worse than a little non noticeable fill job on a scratch.
