Help, how to remove this crap on my car???

I just got my car from the mechanic (3wks) and when I washed my car yesterday the surface of the car felt really rough and had whites spots. I didnt know my wife had used my bucket with pinesaw to mop the floor before I washed the car. I did rinse the bucket before use.

Is there anything I can do to remove this or is my paint damage??? I used clay to make it smooth but not sure if the white spots are rock chips. As u can see my sun roof also has spots and by picking at it I could remove the spots. Please help.

that might be paint overspray or something..if you can pick at it and have it come off then i doubt your paint is damaged...dont let the car sit in the sun at all until you have removed that crap...try the clay again but rub it hard ( ) if that doesnt work try the new turtle wax ice clay bar "in a bottle" i used it and it works great. if that doesnt work take it to a body shop/professional detailer and see what they say.

You might want to try some dawn dish soap (or any other dish soap) to break it down. Once that is done, you can either do a clay bar or use a paint cleaner to remove the rest off. That might help. If you do use dawn or any other dish soap, you need to wax it again. Dish soap breaks down the wax on the car.

Good luck.

1) Return car to mechanic and show him this ****

2) If he refuses to have the car detailed, place foot in his ***

Does the shop have a spray booth inside? Looks like overspray from another car...

Def go back to the garage with this problem.

At first glance, I'd say overspray. Esp if you just got it back from a shop. I agree with gsxrbb, take it back and have them detail it.

If you're going to attempt it yourself, I'd recommend some medium grade clay. If that doesn't work, a PC, yellow cutting pad, Menzerna compound, and alot of time and patience.

Good luck!

thanks for the help guys. I finally was able to take it off with the clay bar. It took like 3 hrs to get most of it off but I'm just glad I was able to get it off. I was afraid I had to get a new paint job. Thanks again.
