For those of you who want a comparison, I called and spoke w/ Wendy and she was real nice. I ended up going the Invinca Shield (I.S.) route and after looking at these pics, I should have taken the drive to Boca. There is ~1/4 hood coverage w/ the I.S. kit, and it looks like 1/2 hood on the Super Shield (SS) kit. Also, Wendy pointed out that they have fewer seems to match up w/ this kit, and it's a harder install. I'm happy w/ my I.S. kit, but from the looks of the white car above, I'd have been happier w/ the SS kit. And if I remember correctly I was quoted below $500.00 for the coupe.

Can anyone tell me difference between 3m Scotchcal and Llumar paint protection film and which is better. Any difference in cost? My car is black/willow cpe. Do I need to do rear bumper or just leading edges?

 

I am getting the Clear Bra (Auto SuperShield) put on next week and curious if I should remove my coats of Zaino on my vehicle? Spent a good 6 hours doing all of that work to get those great results and would hate to Dawn the car all over again and start the process over after the bra has been put on.

What do you all think? UnZaino it or keep it on??

 

The installer clean the wax off the areas to receive the Clear Bra by washing before application.

I have seen a few vehicles with the 3m product and they had yellowed. I spoke with a local shop that sells the Solargard brand he said that the 3m kits do yellow over time. The Solargard kits are warratied for 5 years against yellowing. Not sure if the 3m covers discoloration...

Has anyone had an installer say they had difficulty with installing the front bumper portion on their Coupe? The ones I went to did a great job on the mirrors, hood and fender but couldn't get the bumper on without "imperfections"/creases. Just wanted to see if anyone has had similar problems or if their installs on the bumper have been less than desirable.

Has anyone in So Cal installed the clear bra themselves?

 

Got the Clear Bra done at Envisage Design Labs due to all the rave on how professional they are. Question, it’s been a week or so and have noticed the front part of the hood "8th of an inch" is bare & bottom part of the bumper both sides of the intake "right inside corner "size of a silver dollar is bare”? Has anyone experienced the same?

It depends on the kit and manufacturer, that question is better answered by your installer.

As far as installers in DFW, you can call AutoSuperShield or email them off their web site.
