Clay bar vs liquid clay

Hi.

Saw turtle wax has an ice liquid clay. How does that compare to the standard clay bar with lubricant? Are the results the same, because a liquid clay would seem easier to apply

iquid clay?? sounds like a rubbing compound or an aggressive polish...

I like using the actual clay products because I can "feel" the slickness and I know where needs more attention.

I've never used it, but why mess with a good thing? Regular clay is already so easy to do

Dont bother with it, It doesnt accomplish nearly what a traditional clay bar does. Seriously, put the $15.00 towards a 200 gm bar of clay.

Yeah, I'm a noob and would have to agree, I just don't see it working. It sounds more like a polish than anything else, its not going to actually remove the dirt/grime on the paint, just rub it into it and would make me think it would just make things worse.

That still sounds like it may just be polishing and not really removing impurities....claybaring isn't designed to remove swirls. Try a 'bag test'

Also, here is where the quote is from, a great article about using a Clay Bar over on DU by Jon Miller (TOGWT).

I've never used the liquid version, but I know a real clay bar works. It's not that hard.

Stick with regular clay - you will never get results that even compare.

Yep, I saw this stuff and decided to give it a try and it sucks. Its nothing but a fine cutting abrasive in a soapy solution. Garbage. I returned it.

I have never used clay because I always get great results from the Mequiars #9 prior to application of the wax/polish.
