What to Buy To Keep My Car Clean / Detailing!

I just bought a new 2007 G35x / Black and Black . I want to know what the best use of my money would be to keep the car in good shape. I'm going to hold of on a PC till later, and i'd assume i won't need polish right away. What would you say i should buy right now, i'm in canada, will purchase from eshine.ca. I don't have anything to date. Budget is around $100 now.

If you can link me to the products at eshine, that'd be even better.

Thanks

To start out buy some quality 100% cotton all white towels. Get a couple of 100% cotton wash mitts for soaping up the car. A bottle of wash soap I use Meguiars gold class wash. Personally after that I'd buy the package deal at zainostore.com comes with Z2, z5, claybar, applicator pads and leather cleaner and conditioner along with tire dressing. That package costs like 140.00 or so I think I can't remember how much I paid last year. But then you've got everything you'll need for quite a while.

Quality microfiber>>>>cotton. From Eshine.ca, pick up 2 waffleweave drying towels, 3+ buffing towels, and 10+ standard towels. 3 sheepskin washmitts, 2 grit guards, a claybar, Meguiar's #21 synthetic sealant. Stoner's invisible glass cleaner, 303 aerospace protectant. That should hold you over until you need to purchase a PC and do things the right way

Great advice. The only thing I would add to your list is Natty Blue's Paste Wax. It gives it a great deep wet look over dark colors and you can apply it over your favorite sealant.

Thanks guys. I assume a PC would be a good investment eh. Maybe i'll look into one of those, it would make waxing and sealing alot easier eh?

Without a doubt, the PC will be the best investment you make with regards to automotive detailing. There is no way I would ever be without one. I use my PC for all applications of polish and sealants since it can apply them much more consistent and uniform than by hand. The only thing I apply by hand now is my Natty's Blue Paste wax.

Another great choice is Meg's #16 paste wax that is offered at eshine.ca for a CHEAP price! Its discontinued now, and very hard to get, but everyone on autopia.org loves it. It goes for as much as $60 on ebay for a tin

I'm in contact with George at Detailed Image, he's going to get me a price for a package together and i'll probably order through him, nice to support someone who is active on the forum. You've dealt with him right Garnet Canuck.

I don't think i can afford a PC right now as its almost $200 once i add pads, but maybe i'll win one at the DU contest, LOL.

Yes, I buy all my detailing supplies for my business from George and have talked to him a few times on the phone. He's a stand up guy who knows his stuff and treats his customers great. I wouldn't deal with anyone else now, and his discount is just icing on the cake.

George is an awsome guy (btw his detailing forum has some members that really know what they're doing if u ever need advice)

I'd have to agree with everything redlude said to get, but unlike Garnet I would go with Natty's Red, used it on my G and it was amazing.

A better choice may be the new Ultimate Detailing Machine(UDM) which is very similar to the PC, but with more power. Its also pretty cheap, ~$150. Its gotten good reviews at autopia.org as well

I haven't used Natty's Red, so I can't really comment on it. I recommended Natty's Blue since it's formulated for dark colors, and the OP has a BO Sedan. The Natty's Blue on my Garnet Ember Sedan looked amazing, along with a black Porsche I detailed.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the Red though, as I might try that next.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. It's great hearing back from satisfied customers. If anyone has any questions or needs help putting together a package to fit their vehicle, please do not hesitate to ask.

Thanks guys!

George
