dude, back to black doesn't cost that much. just go out 'nd grab a bottle. you can use it for other things, too.

meguiars, mothers, and zaino are all very popular detailing products here. i use all of the above mentioned and am happy with the results.

You need to remove that off the plastic as soon as possible before the sun takes care of it for you. It happened to me a couple of days ago and I just used a dry microfiber and rubbed it hard and it came off. I would try using soap and water and a sponge with the net on it (the one used to remove bugs and tar) and see if it comes off. If not, use a little bit of rubbing alcohol. Don't rub on it too hard. Remember only use a little bit b/c it can permanently discolor the plastic. Good luck. You can get a better response on your problem if you post in the detailing part of this forum.

Look into a product called ZAINO. You can only find it online. It is a sealer & works very well. I have been using it since i got the car in 2005 & people think the car is still new. The first application is the hardest, but after that future upkeep is the easest of all products i used.

Personally - Meguire's NXT - or Meguire's #26...as far as a wax goes...

I've heard of the eraser method to remove excess wax but it never worked really good for me.
For waxes, from what I've heard, Zaino is the best. Only reason why I have not tried it yet is b/c of the time involved in the first application.
Meguair's NXT has been working great for me for the time being.

Well thanks again, I think I might go with "back to black" and if that doesnt work I'll try the ZAINO.

Zaino is a wax...not a 'remove wax from black trim' product...

Zaino is a synthetic Polymer Sealant, it is NOT A WAX! That said, it still won't take care of your problem.

Use a claybar, peanut butter or IPA 50/50. After you REMOVE it, you can use a sealant like Zaino to protect it. You can use it on anything exterior and it wont stain the rubber or plastic.
