I use a shammy(or however you spell it) to dry. I bought a sponge type thing for the cleaning.

I also bought one of those things to dust off the car. What a POS, and waste of money. It makes the car worse, even with the littlest of dust. I returned it.
DO NOT use a sponge for washing your G. Pick up a good quality sheepskin mitt instead. Sponges are about the worst thing to use to wash a car.

I always used to use a chamois to dry my car off but I switched to MF dehydrating towels. They work MUCH better than a chamois IMO.

As for dusting off your car, I would get something like Poorboys Spray & Wipe and use it with a couple of good quality MF towels.

+1, never use sponges and to dry I'd recommend a waffle weave MF towel

i just picked up a bottle of the new meg. ultimate quick detailer (10 bucks so its a bit pricy for a spray and wipe) but so far so good. its supposed to bead water like crazy for about a month so its good to use in between waxes. i followed up with some eagle one nano wax spray and the car looks like a i just waxed it. great combo for those in between wax jobs... its gonna rain tomorrow so ill let everyone know how the product holds up

I thought shammies were good for drying.

But I'll get some micro fiber towels for drying and rinsing on Sunday.

dont get regular micro fiber, get a large waffle weave micro fiber towel... its 100 times better and more absorbent and doesn't catch on to the imperfections on your hands, which is what I find annoying

Chamois aren't bad at all for drying your car, that is what I always used in the past. Having said that, I find the MF dehydrating towels much more easier to use and it takes me half the time to dry my car now compared to a chamois.

Meguiars Car Gold Class Soap with Chenille Mitts for washing,
waffle towels and a leafblower to dry,
local newspaper's endrolls ( blank newspaper- free and has lasted 8 years) to clean exterior glass
Meguiars Claybar
Meguiars Paint Polishes, Cleaners, NXT wax and Quick detailer
Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner

What are you using for the dash area for cleaning and looks? I don't want anything real shiny.
