Help! CF hood hazing :(

Help! CF hood hazing :(

Can somebody please help me. I have searched and found only 1 result but its not help. Do anybody know how to take the hazingand spots from a carbon fiber hood. Ive tried waxing and buffing and washing with different kind of car wash soapand even tried dawn and Ive got to the point where its clean and when the sun hits the hood on some angle, there is haze and spots all around the CF hood. any suggestions will help ...Thanks for helping.

the clearcoat is probably failing and it needs to be sanded down and recleared by a shop

even if partial and angled view only? Cause I got to the point where it looked new but then at some angle it has haze and when it only hits by sun

From my experience, when the hood starts hazing up, similar to what occurs on headlights, the clearcoat/gelcoat is in poor condition and is showing signs of UV damage. At that point, you can polish with a random orbital, but the hazing will continue to come back. The only really permanent solution is to have a shop sand it down and reclear the hood.

thanks for the info ill find a shop to see if they could do it.

he is exactly right...all cf products should be cleared when u first get them so that they wil last especially out in the sun...the hood needs to be sanded a little and cleared.
