headlight looks a little discolored...any help?

my drivers side headlight has like a slight yellow hue on it..and i have no idea why. i dont think its on the exterior either cause ive tried polishing it with that plastx stuff and it doesnt come off. im thinking there might have been a slight water leak but i dont see how. ive never taken off my headlights or anything like that. only thing ive done was change my clearance bulb but that was like a year ago. i wanna avoid getting a new headlight so does anyone have any suggestions? has anyone had this problem? thanks in advance!

There was a thread a few weeks ago about someone who had some success using CCP. Also here is a how-to on another forum.

oh and you'll probably get some more responses if this is moved to the right forum

what year is your car? I've heard of some cases where the 2003-2004 headlights form a slight crack in the middle where moisture is leaked in eventually messes up the inside of the headlight. I had this problem in my headlamps also. I could polish the outside with the Plastix stuff for hours and the exterior would look amazing but the inside was still yellowish. Some dealers actually replace it under warranty but some don't. Good luck.
