i've always used 303 protectant. it conditions but doesn't "seal" the leather so it can still "breathe". some of those that have mink oil and the like are sealants which can be bad for the leather. just my 2 cents.

I have always used mink oil on my shoes, never been a problem with that, always kept them nice! I shy away from anything called a "protectant"!

I think the first bottle (screw top can actually) of Lexol I ever bought was for my tennis racquet grips back in 1969 or 1970! Yes, it has been around a long time. One of my clients has used it in his Maserati Bi-Turbo for over 10 years I think and the seats are still great!

Some leather cleaners/preservers can change the color/texture of the leather.....
most of the new cars today have a vinyl coating which allows the leather to "breathe"...it also keeps the finish that nice matte look.
I'm sure you have seen this already but check here then click on interior and go down to the part about leather cleaning care and see what I mean..
I may try the German 1Z cleaner/preserver and see how it works...Since my interior is Willow...I do not want to darken it with lexol or any other product that may do so.<font color=blue>2old4this</font color=blue>
