i cant get this clean. its dry and very dirty

my mom tryed to clean it with 409 carpet cleaner idk why but i cant clean it now i tryed alot of lexol conditioner but stull didnt help











now for the rims and headlights






whats up with that fog stuff on the top?

Man carpet cleaner on leather? That can't be good.

For the leather, pick up some 303 fabric cleaner, or Meg's all purpose cleaner + and dilute it 6:1. You'll need a good medium bristle interior brush, and possibly a steam cleaner. Something you may want to have a pro look at. As for the rest of it, none of its really DIY, you either need to replace those items, or have them repainted.

 

The leather cracking is pretty much normal. Mine has it much worse than yours, but really isnt noticable unless you are looking for it. If you want to clean the seats use the mr. clean magic pads - they really work wonders and are so easy to use. Just warm water, wipe, and use a dry cloth to wipe the water off and its going to be clean as hell. I have used them for 50K miles on my tan leather and its great. Just after you use them besure to go over the seats with a spray leather conditioner just to rehydrate the seats.

Anyone that says don't use them on your seat it will eat away at them is full of ****. Just take my advice and use them you will be very happy with the results.

For the carpet get this little machine its called the "little green machine" it is great! works wonders! For the doors use the mr clean magic pads again it will leave them looking brand new. They fall apart fast on the leather 1 pad will clean one seat so buy a coupe boxes of them just in case.

If the upholstery cleaner didn't remove the factory dye, and its stained, hopefully you should be able to clean it adequately....Just don't use anything too abrasive...use a soft bristle brush, and use common sense.

The carpet/mats can be cleaned easily....If you have the extra cash, try the Bissell "Spot Bot". I have used this several times with excellent results...I mix Oxy-Clean with a good all purpose cleaner, and It has not failed me yet with its performance.....Good investment if you own dogs/home as well.

The paint work needs repair on the scratches....and the body needs a good detail to remove all the fine scratches/swirls.

The strip on the bottom of the door can be replaced under warranty. I believe there is a TSB for that very problem.

The headlights require a good quality Plastic Polish...such as 3M or Meguiars

Your Rim will need to be refinished.....any good Rim repair shop should be able to restore the wheel to new condition. Around $75-$100. I messed my pass side front rim up twice already, and I can't even tell where it was hit....

Try using plastix on the headlights
Woolite laudry soap (hand wash one) diluted 6:1 on the seats and carpet or you can get the heated LGM and use it on the carpets.

+1 I used leatherique and was very happy with the results. It's better to do it right the first time than nickel and dime yourself to death.

 

Redlude this is the second time you have recommended using items that don't
apply to the issues at hand. Why would you use fabric cleaner on leather?
His seats show natural wear but just need to be cleaned by a "Leather Cleaner!" I use Zymol leather cleaner followed by their leather conditioner.
This is really quality stuff but it's available at your local Target store in the
automotive department. Follow the instructions using a soft cloth to apply
and buff off.......don't ever use a brush on leather!

 

I bought some of that zymol stuff too but haven't gotten around to using it. Good to know that someone likes it. I haven't heard anything about this product.

 

Someone on autopia told me the zymol they sale at department store isn't the really zymol stuff. The only good leather clean and condition I read that are good, are:

1.Leatherique prestine clean and conditioner
2. Zaino Z9,Z10
3.Lexol ph cleaner and lexol conditioner
