Meguirs # 21 Synthetic Sealent cure state. WTF?

You know how after you claybar your car, you get this wet, soft, glossy feel on the paint? In about a week after applying Meguirs synthetic sealent, my paint started to feel very dry, hard and some what not as smooth as before. Is this normal or did my car picked up some kind of dust from my shop recently(dent repair)?

I got the wet glossy feel back after some heavy claybaring. Now i'm wondering if I should try a different sealent, since i might have a defective one? How did your paint finish feel after applying this sealent? Before I've used Meguirs NXT wax and never had this problem. Please give me some opinion on this.

If the car was recently at a shop, chances are you may have experienced some over spray if you needed to clay it that soon again. I haven't used Meg's Sealant to comment on it, but it doesn't sound like it was the sealants fault.

If you want to try another sealant out and would like some recommendations, please do not hesitate to ask.

I use #21 on a regular basis, and have never experienced a dry surface. Sounds like contamination, after an application of #21, its usually as slick as a wet .....

Well, it seems like my paint had some kind overspary from the shop b/c when I slide my hand wraped in a zip-lock bag it felt very bumpy and coarse, leading me to believe the synthetic sealent wasn't the problem.

I gave it another try after throughly claybaring the whole car. So far so good, as the paint felt slick and smooth which is how it should be. let see how this will hold up over time...

Anyway, thanks for your opinion.
