Clear Bra?
Clear Bra?
Well its decision time, whether or not to install it on my 2008 G35. I am leaning against a clear bra only because of initial cost. I figure that stones and chips are part of the car driving process. And I am sure that after 5 years, the car will not have issues with the clear bra, but will be pitted and chipped some in the front.
Am I simply misinformed that this is the greatest thing, or are there lots of G's out there without a clear bra application?

I wish my cars previous owned had put a bra on. My front is f'ed up, looks terrible up close but a lot more noticeable because my car is black. I almost wish someone would back into the front of my car so I can get a new bumper, but it's not worth getting the bra now because its already so bad. If I bought the car new I defiantly would have invested in a clear bra.
Get the bra. I just got a chip on a 6 wk old car. Tried to touch it up and ended up looking worse (the touch-up paint pen does not exactly match). Pisser is that I've installed the upper portion of the front and was waiting for the lower portion of the bumper. Just order the kit and DIY. ~$360 for the front bumper kits.
My G35 doesn't have one because it's a lease but my other car has the 3M, thank goodness. It's silver and you can hardly tell there is a clear bra on it. Definitely worth the investment for me. There's a lot of gravel and trucks on the highway where I live. Now only if they had something for the windshield!
DOOOO ITTTTTT!!!!! I got it done to my car about 2 weeks after I got it and it wa the best investment ive ever made for my car. My G is now more than a year and a half old and the front end looks nice and clean. No rock chips or bugs to mess with.

As I just posted in the Mzone, do it. I didn't when the car was new and was so sorry.. Waited for a repaint and then did the whole front of the car completely wrapped (Aero bumper, hood, and fenders) + side mirrors and "mud flaps"
2 days after installing the clear bra (4 days after the paint) the front of the car was nailed by sand and gravel from a truck on the freeway. It totally and completely saved the new paint... I was so scared when wiping off the front of the car... and so happy at the absence of any damage.
Also, with the full wrap, it is absolutely "invisible".

P.S. I used Aerotect in Pomona, CA. Ask for Francisco, they ship product too. It took them about 3.5 hours to do everything custom.
