First time using Claybar

As recommended in the forums, I clayed my car within the first week of receiving it. It really does an amazing job, but I was wondering if anyone else had any problems creating "scuff" marks in your paint from claying an area that didn't have enough detailers spray on it? It only happened a couple of times and I was able to remove the scuff.

Did this happen to anyone else?

Yeah, but I was just playing with it, on another car. They came off when I went over it again....

I'm glad to hear that. Can you imagine the first time I see this scuff mark on my paint job and just about passed out when it didn't rub off immediately with the wipe of one of my fingers. As I said before, the claybar is amazing and prepared it well for the first coat of CG. More coats to come this weekend.

Is it Saturday yet?

I had never used one either. I couldn't believe the amount of stuff it picked up and my car was only 2 months old.

Re: First time using Claybar

My story isn't so good.
I clayed my G a few weeks after I took it home, and I left long scratches in the clear coat all over the car. I didn't see them until I was applying the second or third step in the Blackfire kit.
I had the dealer attempt to buff them out, but they are still there. I still need to try a body shop.
Talk about being bummed...

I washed my car with dawn two times before claying it. Any large dirt particals will scratch your car. Also, make sure you strech and fold your clay several times durring use.
