waterspots on chrome trim

waterspots on chrome trim

what do you guys use to clean the chrome trim on around the windows. Its been two weeks and I already have black dirty waterspots that wont come off.

Try a chrome polish like mother chrome polish or NXT all metal polish or you can also try 303 protectant

Have you actually put 303 on chrome? I'm just curious because I would imagine it comes out pretty streaky.

Yeah I have. Says it on the bottle you can use it on chrome (wheels). Right under Interior/Exterior. I like doing it when I just need one bottle to dress and protect the exterior trim.

Hmmm . . . that's interesting. I've read 303's website before and they recommend their product for almost anything. They even say to use it on your paint instead of wax. Personally, I'm not sure I would follow all their recommendations. Chrome might be OK though.

ill check around and if it dont come off ill get some. If you guys used the chrome wheels cleaner stuff on it and it worked for you then ill try that since i see it at the local stores.

Just that the black water marks look ugly on the chrome....

The chrome wheel cleaner I use is Eagle one all wheel & tire clean or 1:10 greased lighting like it says on the bottle.

ill check it out tommorrow...hopefully it works well for the watermarks on the chrome window trims.
