Wannabes Tutorial For Amateur Detailing (Pics)
Hey Everyone. its your friendly neighborhood Wannabe.
Im just going to give you guys some tips and show you my tutorial for washing and detailing a car.
Most all of this stuff can be found at Autozone or Wallmart. To me, its the best stuff you can buy on a shelf without going to Zaino or somthing.
Steps:
1. Wash Car with Turtle Wax ICE Car Wash. Use a good mit and try tog et rid of as much dirt and crap as possible.

2. Rinse car then, while the car is wet, clay bar it with Turtle Wax ICE Liquid Clay Bar

3. Wash car again tog et rid of the clay bar residue.
4. Shamoise off the car with a good shamoise.
5. Apply 1 coat of Meguires Cleaner Wax to the whole car (excluding windows and stuff)

6. Remove wax with a nice microfiber towel or a cotton towel.

7. Platx all plastic parts of the car. (headlights, taillights.)

8. Wash the Windows with Stoners Invisible Glass. Use a normal towel.

9. Shine Tires With Meguires HOT SHINE tire spray.

10. On SUVs or plastic parts of your car, uses Meguires Trim Shine. Wipe with towel.

11. Vacuum Inside of car.
12. Use Meguires Interior Wipes to wipe down dashboard ext.
13. Use Meguires Leather Care on your seats.
I have a more detailed right up no interiors, but thats just the basic interior and a full exterior.
Thanks for reading!
NOTE: During the winter, my suggestion is to go to one of those DIY car washes where you stick the quarters in and get the high powered washers and stuff. But, instead of using their nasty brush and soap, bring a bucket and work quickly. For $5 u can get your car completley clean. Just by using a mit and bucket, then using their sprayer to spray it off. You can even wax your car right inside their due to them usually being heated!

Yep.
To me, i get great satisfaction cleaning a car.
That first trailblazer i posted, it was my neighbors. She has to messy kids and 2 big WHITE dogs. That she hauls often. I found so much nasty crap under the seats it was gross. But when i gave it back to her she said it hadnt looked that new since the day she bought it.
People saying that to me is nice.

Are those MF on the floor ??? Also why use TW ice clay. I hear bad review with that clay product and I don't know about using a chamois, Dirt can get caught underneath it and be drag across the paint. Unless you blot each part. I myself use a WW MF towel from autogeek.
It works really well for me and cleans the paint very well. Makes a much ncier finish and brings out the shine.
I like the shamois, but i dont put it on the floor. Its always hanging and i wash it a lot.
It works very well and does not scratch the car.

Hey wannabe, or anyone else,
Is that invisiglass good for interior? I'm looking for an interior window cleaning because I noticed I have a lot of that "build up" residue. I absolutely hate seeing streaks on windows when I'm inside my car passing an overhead light, so I havn't done anything about it yet. Anyone got tips?
