Does anybody have any knowlage of cosmetic bodywork..My car got keyed for no reason, probably a jealous pr.ck!!! The scratch didnt catch metal but it is down to the primer...do you think it needs to be painted or is there some other method of reparing this w/o paint???

 

sorry to hear what happened...
problem is...key scratches can be a pain to repair
you may if your lucky be able to have a detailer buff it out
if you say its down to the primer....your going to first have to touch it up....depending on how long the scratch is it may be better to have it repaired by an auto body shop.....

Look in the detail eye candy forum...WRAH had a scuff on his lower front bumper w/scratches as well...see what he did and the results....his was in a at of the way area so it was a pretty easy fix for him....if your damage is on the side of your car or hood....you may need to take more "professional" steps to achieve a quality result...

People really s-ck if this was done on purpose....

I have had this happen to two other cars. Both needed repaint. I had a 2 week old Black GTA keyed both sides, across the spoiler and one front fender. The entire car was repainted but was never as good as factory. The world is full of ignorant people. Good luck, hope it all works out for you.
