I have the alloy wheels that came with the G. I was wondering if there are products out there to clean, and shine the allow wheels. And do you guys use a brush?

I dont know if this is a smartass answer, but I just wash it like I would during a car wash using a soft towel or brush.

What I recommend is applying some protection, like Poorboy's Wheel Sealant or Wheel Wax on your wheels, then follow up with normal maintenance procedures. Either of the mentioned products will provide a barrier of protection for your wheels and the brake dust should fall off with some automotive shampoo and water if you maintain your vehicle regularly. I'd suggest a dedicated wash mitt for your wheels, you do not want to spread the brake dust on to your paint which could add imperfections. For a durable option, consider the Lake Country Ulti-Mit, which I find great for wheel care.

George - I use wheelwax, but the biggest problem I have with it is that I can't ever get it all off. I have wheels with a lot of nooks and areas that are hard to truly buff off, so I'm seriously cleaning off bits and chunks of wax 2-3 washes later.

Do you have any ideas of waxes or protectants that are really easy to remove on wheels?

The issue with most of our wheels is the OEM brake pads and the dust they
leave behind......replace them with Hawks or other quality pads. Now I've
just solved 90% of what was getting your wheels dirty. For the other 10%
never wash your wheels when they are hot.....cool wheels and detergent
made specifically for alloy wheels and a toothbrush. Then Wheels Wax will
keep them look'in good........

I also use Wheel Wax. Makes cleaning a lot easier.

YOU SHOULD TRY ADAMS PRODUCTS. I HAVE SEEN THEM FIRST HAND AND THEY ARE GREAT PRODUCTS. THE DETAILING SPRAY IS AMAZING AND HAS A GREAT CANDY SCENT. LOL

IIRC, adams polishes are just relabled chemical guys products, which aren't the best to start with

I put some of that white spray on the tires to make them wet and shiny, the wheels rims got all dirty.

I myself put 3 layer of duragloss 111 and the wheel keep shiny and clean. Also easy to remove the sealant.

I replace my pads with hawks and they still dust

Actually I seen one guy that use most of chemical guys stuff on people car and they come out looking real good.

I agree 100% with the changing your brake pads to help keep wheels clean(your never gonna avoid dust completly)... but in addition i just wash mine with a Microfiber towel after im done with the car... ive even zainoed/waxed my rims and it seemed to help(ive used wheel wax, didnt like it, going to try smart wax's wheel wax next).... i wouldnt trust any spray on/spray off of any kind on any wheel that u care about...hand wash is the way to go..... oh and yea i dont have alloy wheels...but i have chrome 3 peice wheels and what a pita they are to keep clean.......

no spray for me either.
