Entering a car show....Any tips?
I haven't actually entered it yet but I'm 99% sure I'm going to. Anyone with past experience or stories from friends have any tricks, tips, or advice they can give me? Other than clean the hell out of it.
Thanks,
Russ

Re: Entering a car show....Any tips?
trentacinque,
i haven't entered any car shows, but i've read about it and been to enough to know. you're right about cleaning everything. when i say everything, i mean everything; wheel wells, under the seats, under the lic. plate, etc.
theres alot of good info in the car show concours section of autopia.org. one was a checklist of things to do before the show.
also if you're not a zaino nut, i'd like to recommend going with a glaze/wax combination for the show. imho it seems to bring out that deep wet shine. personally i'd use either megs speed/hand glaze and then throw two coats of nxt wax on top of it.
good luck, and let us know how it goes

I'm definitely a Zaino nut. Thanks for the autopia link.

my advice: just have fun. i have worked many car shows in the past for my old company and damn, i always tend to see people bitching and complaining about results or scoring, just have a good time showing off your pride and joy and go pick up on some chicks!
