I had a 2005 Subaru Legacy that had a mouse get into the air ducts leading to the cabin filter over the winter. The little sucker was living in the car at night and was moving dry cat food...one piece at a time into the duct system. A neighbor was feeding a cat outside so the rodent had plenty of food to move.

It smelled link someone ate nasty McDonald's French Fries in my car. Once it got warmer out the smell got stronger. One morning I noticed food by the front wheel...I picked it up and it smelled like those damn French Fries!

That is when I discovered the food in the air duct and on top of the cabin filter. By the time I was done cleaning I cleaned out 3 cups worth of cat food!
