I installed a 3M on my sedan's hood, fenders and lights at 20k miles. The bumper needed repainting first so I left it exposed. 3M bras have been great on 3 different cars of mine so far with no yellowing, peeling, etc.
No experience on Venture Shield.

I have the 3M clear bra and have had no issues for two years now. One thing I did regret was waiting 1 month after I bought my car to get it installed. You need to do it ASAP before your front grille catches some rocks.

+1 on that regret. The only good thing is that, my car only got a couple of very small scratches. Makes you appreciate the clear-bra that much more.

I got the venturesheild installed and its saved me many times since I drive about 90% highway where simple pebbles can chip your paint easily at high speeds.

Yes, but they are maintained as 2 separate products.

I've had 3M on 3 previous cars & now have Venture
Venture has less orange peel effect than 3M
It may be slightly more prone to yellowing though, if not looked after.
Plexus works great to clean & protect.

good to know...thanks. Well I have the 3M product. It really works well for me. I am really glad I have it. my front bumper had numerous visible rock chip damage and after I got them touched up from a body shop in cambridge I went to a local clear bra installer in boston and got the clear bra. It was a really good decision. For more information why you should get it, go to www.bostonpaintshield.com

For all of you out there, get the clear bra as soon as you buy your car or get it repainted before you damage it more. Its like buying a protective cover for your Ipod or phone, it definitely saves your paint and money down the road (get it! .

I am asking this question in mulitple "Clear Bra" threads in hopes someone can answer it.

I've had my G35 for almost a year now and am planning on getting a clear bra on just my front bumper. My question is after it's installed and when I go to wax/detail my car, will the rest of the car be shinnier/glossier than the front bumper (where the clear bar is installed)?!

Thnx in advance.
