I am about to get tint on my G35 6MT Coupe, Diamond Graphite...what tint % looks best...I am not going for the limo tint, just want the car to look good and stay cooler in south florida...

 

I've got 15% all around. It might be too dark for what you want. It's not limo tint though. I saw 20% on a G and really couldn't tell the difference between it and my 15%. My only recommendation is don't get any reflective/mirror tint, no matter the darkness.

You're going to get a ton of different answers. The best thing to do is go to the tint shop and look for yourself. They should have pictures of different percentages on different cars.

My only advice is don't get your tint too dark (5%), it's dangerous.

 

i have 20% on mine and it looks great.. it's not too dark and it's not too light.. i've seen 35% and it looks good, but to me, it's not worth it to get tint unless it's dark enough..

remember to watch out for ur state laws of course.. it's not unheard of where people have been given tint tickets and had to had them taken off.. realli sucks, but as we all kno, it's happened..

I have an appointment for monday. 5% all the way around. But i hardly ever drive when it's not light out.

Suggest that you take into account your interior color. I have graphite interior and wanted to attain a classy tint w/o it being too dark. After my research and visits to tint-shops I thought I was prepared to get 20%.

But my installer said that would be ok for my objective IF I had willow interior. He firmly suggested that I do 30% instead with graphite; and I'm so glad I did NOT do 20%.

5% the only way to go
although i will say its hard to make left turns at night when there is a median. also backing up at night is somewhat difficult. but other than those probs 5% is great

well since for reason i cant edit now once again and i forgot to add some stuff heres another post

on another note
5% on a graphite interior will be really dark because the car is already dark on the inside.
lets say you put 20% on a willow car and 20% on a graphite car, the graphite one is goin to look a lot darker because of the interior than the willow will. now at night there will be little difference because the sun wont be shining threw the windows especially the windshield making the tint look lighter.

but with that said i still love my 5% windows and 30% windshield

yeah i'm going 5% all the way, drivers and passenger window as well. I live in Missouri.

where do you live at in missouri? if your near the springfield area, there is an awesome tint shop there called glass tint usa. they will do anything you want. they also do clear bra which is where i got mine put on.
