Relude97. What do you buy from Walmart for washing mitts?
I bought a tan wool looking mitt. Very soft. But upon washing the car, it was like washing with a wet cat. Damn thing is way small and didn't lather up the soap as I would like.
Got a pic of what you use?

I buy the wool mitts from walmart, but I carefully pick the heaviest and most plush mitts there. Usually I find 1-2 good ones out of 20, and every time i'm there I look so I can stock up, sometimes they end up being bad, and they get moved to wheels and tires. Did you just pick one randomly from the batch?

I noted one was softer than the others. But I don't know if I picked the right brand. I was a small glove looking thing. Not a microfiber type wash mitt.
I just noticed it was damn small and didn't soap up very well.

they should be Detailers Preference or Detailers Paradise brand wool washmitts, made by eurow/oreilly. Haven't been to walmart in a while but its the only brand they should carry with a dark green elastic sleeve. I cut the sleeves off also to prevent marring
I really don't like the eurow sheepskin wash mitts. That maybe only last 10-15 wash and then start falling about
It's this one that they sell at walmart and they don't last long

I used to use wool mits in the past, but I wasn't to happy with there longetivity.
I've since switched to 100% chenille mits, and they do hold up well in comparison.
They don't seem to micro mar the finish, and hold a lot of soap/suds when washing....

I tried both ways with one I would clean in the washing machine and, but then that one fell apart fast. So then I tried not using the washing machine and just get it real clean after I would wash my car and I would ring it out dry and then store it in my container, but that one smell and only lasted 8 washes
Scrooge, so you don't like sheepskin in general or just the walmart ones. Have you tried any others? I have a few going on 9+ months and 30+ washes and they are still holding up fine, and a few that only lasted 10 washes as you saw. Since its a natural product, there is always going to be some variability in the durability
I found some sheepskin at closeout price for 1.12 at Parts America. I think this won't last.
