Is a normal towel okay to dry a G?

I have one of those Gatorade towels that you see athletes use all the time, and i've been using that to dry my car when I wash it, I just wanted to know if that was okay or if I should switch to mf towels. I always thought those were just for like polishing and conditioning leather rather than drying an entire car..

don't use regular cotton towels for drying, they will swirl your car. The standard nowadays is waffleweave MF towels.

+1 on WW microfiber towels. I use the Ultimate cobra guzzler from autogeek.

But what about swirls and what are the colors of the cars you had. Cause I know you differently see swirl on dark color cars.

I was thinking the same thing about absorber because I myself own 3 and they dry the vehicle very well. Are they that good? Or its because I own a white car and unable to see the swirls.

Absorber & Microfiber Towels....!

Since I own a Twilight Blue (may as well be black) G35 Coupe swirls and
scratches are my enemy. I have two absorbers and keep them very clean,
constantly rinsing them out and every few weeks I'll throw them in the
washing machine on HD with a second rinse. They come out better than new!
The only thing I will use to wipe down my G is Microfiber rags by Zymol and
Adams detailer....works for me....

Absorbers themselves don't scratch, but the problem with them is that since they don't have a nap, any speck of dirt on the car when drying potentially could marr the surface. MF and especially WW MF's have both nap and patterning that can lift the dirt away from the finish so they are much safer

very true I was thinking about the same thing. Any idea what I should use the absorber besides the windows? Would hate to throw them away.

I use Pak Shak waffle weave drying towels. They are the best I've tried.
