Detailed the G...Pics of the Result (56K Beware!!!)

I detailed the G this past week...Used the PC I ordered from Detailed Image.

Washed and clayed (Zaino clay bar).
Menzerna Intense Polish with orange pads.
Menzerna Finishing Polish with white pads.
Zaino All-in-One with black pads.

Also going to put on a layer of Z5 Pro and Z2 Pro this week.

I managed to polish out most of the spider webbing that came with the car, and all of the swirls. Still a few minor scratches that I'll go after with a yellow pad the next time I do this.

Suggestions welcome, and thanks to George at Detailed Image for his advice on polish/pad combinations!

Looks awesome man! Just fyi, you really don't need to do Z5 AND Z2 together. On dark colors most will just go with Z5. Adding Z2 along with Z5 won't make it look any better so you'll just be wasting product. I would do 2 coats of Z5 and then top it with a nice nuba. Car will look crazy wet.

Thanks for the comments...I'll go with the Z5 and 'nuba wax suggestion!

I do need a set of halogens for the garage...The lights I have don't show the imperfections very well until I get it out in the sunlight...Then they just jump out at me!

OB definitely FTW!!! Nothing sexier than a clean black car.

'Course, keeping it that way is a second full time job...

Menzerna Polishes are awesome. Combined with a rotory polisher instead of a DA (like the PC) the results are even more magnified. Zaino sealants are always a safe bet when it comes to a crisp clear shine after a good polishing.

I don't know if I'd agree that the results with a rotory are more magnified. The rotory will for sure do correction faster but a polished swirl free finish looks the same for both assuming of course the paint surface wasn't totally thrashed. People really underestimate the corrective capabilities of DA's when done really well.
