Scratches and Nicks from Sand

I live in Dallas and it got icy here last week. As a result sand was put on the overpasses because people here can't drive. The next day when it was sunny and hot, I drove on the highway and I could hear the sand hitting my car. When I washed it yesterday, I noticed the whole front of the car is covered in little scratches and nicks from the sand. Does anyone know the best product to use to remove these and make the paint look new again?

The light surface scratches can be removed by using a polishing compound.
The little chips however, are there to stay. Nothing short of repainting the bumper will restore the look.

Sorry.......Live up here in the Northeast, we have the same stuff spread all over our roads from Nov. thru March. Its like getting your front bumper sand blasted every time you hit the highways.

They're mostly surface scratches. I'll polish it this weekend. Any favorite polishes you can suggest?

I have several polish/waxes that I use along with a polishing compound for the more serious scratches.

I have had pretty good results with Mothers cleaner/wax for slight imperfections.
Also Klasse AIO works well also.
3M makes a pretty good polishing compound that takes some work by hand.

They're not swirls. It's only on the front bumper, front of hood, and the backs of the mirrors. The cars only got 2k miles on it so I still notice everything. They weren't there before.
