HELP!: Wheel Cleaning help~ :(

Hey Guys, I washed the car on Saturday with the nice weather, I picked up a can of Meguiar's spray on wheel cleaner. I applied it, and like it said, it did take a lot of the dirt and stuff off of the wheels. I rinsed off the wheels in the 30 secs the directions directed me to. However, after I finished washing the car and went back to polish the wheels, I noticed a whole bunch of these "milky white dots" looks like water spots but a milky white. No matter how much I scrubbed it does not come out at all. Do you know what I can use or do to get these off my wheels?
They are the volk sf winnings wheels btw~

Thanks!

Are you sure it was safe to use on your wheels? Some of the rim cleaners are very acidic, and if not careful can and will eat thru the clear coat on your rims.

Have to make sure it states "SAFE FOR ALL WHEELS AND CLEAR COATED"

I don't recommend using ANY wheel cleaners. They discolor the tire and the left over residuals can splash on to the paint which is bad.

Wash your wheel with a good car washing detergent and microfiber towels, work the 'polished' area well. After drying it, polish it up with Nu Finish, your rims will look amazing and the dirt/brake dust/grime don't build up that easy anymore, much easier to wash and maintain.

There are PLENTY of wheels/tire cleaning products out there that are TOTALLY safe. Cleaning products aren't what dicolor your tires, it's the crappy quality "tire shine" stuff people slather all over their tires. If what you use was safe for ALL wheels you might have waited just a little too long before you removed the cleaner. Again, if it's safe for your wheels, just spray them with the cleaner again and work the spots you're talking about with your fingers or mf towel and rinse right away.

The lip on them are anodized, there isn't a cleaner I seen yet that is safe for them. Your lips are pretty much gone, since the cleaner has damaged the oxidized layer of aluminum that protects the wheels. You'll need to have them repolished. Next time just use the same soap you use on your car for them wheels, or peanut butter....yeah I seen some people use peanut butter on their volks, that's because the oils in the peanut butter will pull the oils and grease off.
