Clay bar & carbon fiber ?

Just got my car back from the paint shop and got some over spray on the front edge of my carbon fiber hood. Is it safe to claybar it ?? I was planning on using the Meguires kit ???

Should be okay, but you may marr the clearcoat a bit depending on the what the manufacturer used. A good polish should clean it up if that is the case though

If youre going to clay it, use a fine grade clay bar. A medium grade abrasive clay bar will marr the sh*t out of your clear coat.

You can use clay on any hard, non porous surface.

I would use a good wax first to see how much comes off.

+1. Even with polishing compound and polisher it takes way to long

Clay remove containment faster then compound, wet sanding and solvent without damage the vehicle finish.
