Thanks for the tip, but what is this going to cost me for somebody to repair this for me? I wanted to do this myself to avoid going through my insurance.

~$100 from a PDR place. You cannot fix that yourself

Redlude is right, don't attempt to repair that yourself...you will end up with little dimples protruding out of the fender.

I had my fender lip creased, and Dent Wizard removed it 99% Charged me $95

Best investment I made beside my rim repair.

Thanks for the help guys. $95, darn, my insurance is a $100 deductible (comp). Either way I am going to pay up.

yes, pay a pro to do it because you will only make it worse (not commenting on your skill as a handyman, rather, commenting from my own history trying to fix a dent this way). a master tech will make this thing disappear like it was never there.

I also just got a door ding on my brand new ride... Bugging the **** out of me... I googled some stuff on door dings and came across some vid clips about self fixing... but hesitant about trying it... It involves, DRY ICE or one of those CAN AIR... apply it to your ding/dent and suppose to pop right out...

Take a look...

Last night I found the links you listed. Wondering if the technique is going to work.....

For those who don't understand, basically the hair dryer heats the entire area of sheet metal. The compressed air cannister or dry ice cools the exterior surface of the sheet metal a lot faster than the inner surface. Hence, the molecules of metal at the surface shrinks at a faster rate than the inner part of the sheet metal, resulting in metal popping out.

Of course, the concern is will the extreme cold damage the paint.....

none of that crap works. go and spend the hundred or so bucks on a pdr guy to get it fixed right. you may do more damage trying this gimmicky garbage. fyi, if you wanted a bodyshop to repair and paint, you would be looking at $350-$500.

for that, i would pull out my regular rod type PDR tool to massage it out.

glue pullers will work in that area, but it'd be faster to do with the regular
tools.

i've seen a demonstration done with glue puller that leave two ding where the puller sits. in the end, instead of one bad ding, you have three mild ones.
