Smile Couple questions about detailing

What is the bext method to get out swirl scratches... i have them BAD and i want to get them out. I dont want to get a buffer, but if thats the ONLY way... then we'll see. Claybar perhaps?

What is the best way to clean the OEM 19's... I have the mothers wheel cleaner but rumor has it i will ruin the clear coat, true or false?

What is the best way to clean the engine bay? Cleaner? Soap and Water?

If these have been covered i apologize, i searched with no avail on the first 4 pages under each category...

Thanks for anyone and everyones opinion!

BTW, i have found NEVRDULL wadding polisher is the best period for the any exhaust tips. Now i need to find something for the rest of my car.

Kevin

i use soap and water on my wheels with a microfiber towel..... i dont trust any wheel cleaner... plus they hardly work unless u are using a pressure washer to hose off the wheel and as far as the other questions i dont know... i havnt and will most likly never clean my engine compartment but if i was to... a dry rag and compressed air.......

If you don' want to get a buffer. You can use Scratch X by hand, by folding a terry cloth towel into 8ths. But your going to be tired doing this. If the wheel cleaner says its good for your wheel, then its not doing any damage. To clean the engine you going to need car soap, APC, brush and buckets. Here a engine detail I did. You can go over some that see what you can do on your car:

Actaully I like using NXT all metal polish.

Hey,
My friend used Meguiar's® Hot Rims Wheel Cleaner which he got from canadian tire. He told me it works and it's safe for all type of wheels. Just apply it, let it sit for few mins and use the presure washer to rise the wheel.
but just follow the directions on the back of the bottle n you should be good.

P21S

I've had good luck with this. I've also bought some finish restorer to clean up the parts that the gel cleaner didn't, but haven't had a chance to try this yet.

your best bet is to purchase the 7424 and go to town. They have great m/f pads that you can use and won't screw up anything. you will get the best results with the orbital and you will have it for years.

soap/water work well for my wheels.

degreaser for the motor, works for me
