08 G leather interior

OK, why does Infiniti coat the leather interior with something that removes the leather smell.

Is there any way to remove that coating, short of re-doing the seats?

I would have gotten leatherette if I did not like the pure leather aroma.

Thanks

I use Zaino Brothers Z-10 leather in a bottle. I love the smelll of this stuff. It's better than new car smell... it's new leather smell.
