I was waiting for the rain to subside so I could go out there and sit down and try to install these damn clear corners.

After reading this thread.....It literally took me 47seconds for each clear corner. Used my hands. It scares me how easy that was.

very easy cosmetic mod.......but one of my corners is constantly popping out alittle....not coming off...but just seems a little loose compared to the stock amber units....

By far the easiest MOD ever. The G35 manual says to use a screwdriver and a piece of cloth to pop it out, but I ended up just using my hands and had no problem. Took me about 2 minutes for both sides. Now what I need to do is the clearence lights and the fog lights. Anybody have any idea how to do those. I know I need to go in through the wheel well or something like that. Please help

What kinds of bulbs are people putting in the corners once they've "cleared" them? And, what is the benefit gained? I'd like the brightest thing possible for safety benefit.

 

Cata...you buy the clear corner, no need for you to clear them. They come with a standard OEM (JDM) amber bulb. If your not afraid of being posted for clear bulbs go for it!

Reason I ask is I've modded the corners now to blink and I'd like to be as noticeable as possible when trying to change lanes on a 5 lane freeway.

I installed clear corners and used Piaa extreme white 168 bulbs......depending on your local law enforcement agencies....you could get hassled (front corner or marker lights are by law to be amber in color at all times)

I also changed out my fog/high bulb with MTEC H4 Super White bulbs.....and the clearance corners with the Piaa extreme whites as well........ the photo gives a little blueish look which is not as noticeable to the naked eye......but the Fogs match IMO much better than the stock units.....

Not sure if this was mentioned, but the bulbs in the orange/stock corners are already clear. I'm sure they aren't as bright as some of the bulbs referenced above, but they look fine to me (in combination with the clear corners).

 

Thanks gdup, I didn't know that. I guess the pics I've seen with amber bulbs in clear corners were due to the person replacing the clear bulb.
